To examine this effect, a quasi-experimental study was conducted. Two pre-existing groups of students were randomly assigned as experimental and control groups. Then, subjects in both groups were first pre-tested. After the treatment period, a post-test was administered for the experimental and the control group in the form of a fill-in the blank task. It is worth mentioning that the pre-test and the post-test were identical. The post-test results reveal that the experimental group subjects achieved higher scores than those of the control group. Therefore, the intensive reading technique played a great role in developing students' use of collocations.enTeaching : english : EFL : intensive readingThe Effect of intensive reading on enhancing students' use of collocationsthe case of third year students' of the departement of the arabic language and lettres at Larbi Ben M'Hidi universityOther
