The present study aims to explore one of the contemporary Algerian novels, which is the titled "Thabet A-dhalma" by the Algerian writer Amal Bouchareb. The novel had taken the desert as the scene of its events, combining both scientific facts and fictional imagination in aunique narrative composition in which the desert sphere imposes itself and even controls the entire course of the novel.
