However, it can be a challenging task because it is often perceived as a dull, boring and difficult. Interestingly, the purpose of the present study is to investigate the effect of using guessing games as a teaching technique on enhancing students' vocabulary learning. The method applied in this study was an experimental method with a quasi-experimental design. In addition, the participants were fourty LMD students of english at Larbi Ben M'Hidi university, Oum-El-Bouaghi. They were divided into two groups, the control and experimental groups. Participants in both groups were pre-tested in the first meeting before conducting the treatment through a vocabulary matching task. Then, the control group received four vocabulary sessions following the ordinary method used by their teacher. However, the experimental group was exposed to guessing games technique applied in four vocabulary lessons for the sake of learning English vocabulary in an enjoyable atmosphere and feeling vocabulary more interesting. After that, a post-test was administered after the treatment; it was similar to the pre-test. The findings revealed the feasibility of using guessing games as a teaching strategy to help students learn vocabulary effectively.
