We have also tried to determine the type of clay (dispersed, laminated or structural) existing in the sandstones of the reservoir in question. Our study is based on logging data from HTG8, HTG10 and HTG11 wells crossing the TAGS reservoir at Hassi Touareg. Using Interactive Petrophysics (IP) software, we calculated the main petrophysical parameters and then established cross-plots (total porosity - Фt vs clay volume - Vsh). To identify clay types in sandstone we used the model of Thomas & Stieber (1975), this is a cross-plot (Vsh vs Фt) to recognize the type of clay (dispersed, laminated or structural). The computational and cross-plot results (Vsh vs Фt) showed that the TAGS sandstones at Nezla are invaded by dispersed clays. This qualifies the TAGS at Hassi Touareg as a medium to goodenPetrophysical characterization of the Triassic formations of the Hassi Touareg field - Saharan Platform SE of AlgeriaOther
