Accordingly, a quantitative methodbased on a questionnaire isadopted in order to examine the researchhypothesisthat the use of visualaids in teachingreadingimprove EFL learnersreadingcomprehension. The questionnaire wasadministered to 12 teachers at the English Department of Oum El Bouaghi University to collecttheir perceptions. The resultsrevealedthat the incorporation of visualaidsincrease the students' comprehension, vocabulary acquisition, motivation, and encourage communication despite the challenges faced by bothteachers and students in the classroom. Finally, the smallsample size and the reliance on the questionnaire as the only data collection toollimitsourability to generalize the outcomes of ourstudy. Eventually, itisrecommendedthat new technologies like visualaidsshouldbeincorporated in language classes in order to increase engagement and learningoutcomes.enCommunication; EFL learners; Reading comprehension; Vocabulary; Visual aidsInvestigating the applicability of visual aids in the teaching of reading Oum El Bouaghi UniversityOther
