It is a complex skill that requires much practice and attention to many components, namely grammar, vocabulary, mechanics, organization and punctuation. Eventually, the present study aims to shed the light on the effectiveness of Mind mapping as a prewriting technique in helping students generate and organize ideas, through student's and teachers' attitudes. To investigate the research hypothesis and answer the research questions that if teachers and students are aware about this technique and how can it help students in writing, a descriptive method was opted for. two questionnaires were administered to teachers and third- Year students at the department of english, Larbi Ben M'Hidi university. The findings and the answers obtained in this study support and corroborate our hypothesis that awareness about Mind mapping would have a positive effect in helping learners overcome the trouble of getting started to write and therefore enhance their writing quality. Subsequently, it is highly recommended for teachers to teach the prewriting explicitly and make students aware about using Mind mapping while writing in class so they can write organized texts. They are also recommended to devote enough time and much practice for students to write in order to develop their writing ability.enTeaching : english : writingTeachers' and students' attitudes towards the effectiveness of mind-mapping teaching in enhancing organization in writingthe case of third year, students' of english at Larbi Ben M'Hidi universityOther
