FANET has a wide area of applications like reconnaissance and surveillance for military and civil purposes owing to the fact that transfers the data and signals between each other without any human experts and any physical connectivity between the nodes. Ensuring the reliability and high throughput of data transmission between unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) located in different environments and ground control centers requires the development of ad-hoc networks of aircraft (Flying Ad Hoc Network, FANET) one of the important parts is the transport layer protocol which is provided a lot of different protocol as (TCP, UDP, TFRC, SCTP, and DCCP). This thesis will show a comprehensive survey of various transport protocols for transmission packets in FANET. Several protocols are selected to be evaluated and compared under a simulated urban scenario. The simulation takes a place under the same environment and conditions. These protocols are TCP, UDP, TFRC, SCTP, and DCCP, using NS2 as a simulation tool, and what is the most appropriate protocol for FANARTs according to our result?frAd-hoc networkData transmissionTransport Layer ProtocolEvaluation and comparison study of transport layer protocols for data transmission in flying ad-hoc networksOther
