In this respect, two questionnaires have been designed. The first one was administered to twenty teachers and the second to sixty third-year students at the Department of English, Larbi Ben M'hidi University - Oum El Bouaghi. The results obtained from both questionnairesshow that teachers and students have positive attitudes about the effectiveness of cooperative learningin reducing anxiety in the classroom. Eventually, it is recommended to implement cooperative in the different subjects taught at university.
