Hydrogen amount in the cold fuel was gradually increased from 0 to 60%. Remarkable effects of hydrogen addition on soot precursors and greenhouse gas emissions are uncovered and presented in this work. Numerical results showed that hydrogen as an additive is highly effective in reducing soot and CO2 formation in butadiene flames. The behavior of radicals such as H atom, O atom, hydroxyl group, and intermediates such as C2H2, C3H3 and C5H5 are studied here. Increasing hydrogen amounts induced a decrease in all the emissions sacrificing some thermal efficiency. Synergism between hydrogen chemical and dilution effects inhibited butadiene oxidationenEffect of hydrogen addition on 1,3 Butanediene premixed flame
