In addition, to investigate that this novel is a female gothic novel. In order to reach this point this research will be divided into three chapters the first chapter will highlight the female gothic representation of femininity, by introducing the gothic genre and show the characteristics of the female gothic the second chapter will extract a different examples from the text in which justify the nature of the novel as female gothic .
