dc.description.abstractThe teaching of foreign language by its very nature is an interactive process. Speaking, on the other hand, is considered as the major skill to be developed for the learning of any foreign or second language. The present study aims at examining the motivational effect of using group work in teaching speaking to third year LMD students of english as a foreign language at the department of english, university of Oum-El-Bouaghi. We hypothesised that group work enhances students' motivation to speak.
