dc.description.abstractThe current study intitled "Attachment styles of the adolescent addict" aimed to: Identify attachment styleof the adolescent addict. Revealing the perceptions of the relationship with mother. Revealing the perceptions of the relationship with the father. For this purpose, the clinical approach based on a case study was adopted, as it is the most appropriate to achieve the objectives of the study. The study included two cases of males aged 17-18 years who were randomly selected from the Intermediate Centre for Addicts' Health in the state of Tebessa. They were applied to them: The Adult Attachment Styles Scale (Mbarki Khadija, 2017). AAI semi-structured interview to reveal attachment patterns. The results of the study resulted in the following: The attachment pattern of the addicted adolescent is the avoidant pattern (Case 1). The attachment style of the addicted adolescent is the ambivalent style (Case 2). Based on the behaviors exhibited by the parents of the first case, he has formed a perception that his mother is available as a safe haven in times of distress, while he has formed a perception that he is rejected by his father. In the second case, the child formed a perception that his mother is available to respond to his needs and provide support in times of distress, and also formed a perception that his father's harsh treatment is an expression of his father's desire to discipline and benefit him.
