التخيل التاريخي في خطاب عبد الله إبراهيم النقدي: قراءة في مسوغات الإحلال وإمكانات التجريب

| dc.description.abstract | في كتابه (التخيّل التاريخيّ)، وبعنوان فرعي فضفاض "السّرد، والإمبراطوريّة، والتجربة الاستعماريّة"، يدعو عبد الله إبراهيم إلى استبدال مصطلح "الرواية التاريخيّة" بـمصطلح "التخيّل التاريخيّ"، وعياً منه بأنّ المصطلح القديم لم يعد يستوعب طبيعة الكتابة السرديّة الجديدة الّتي تستلهم التاريخ وتستدعيه استدعاء رمزيًّا، كما أنّ المصطلح الجديد من شأنه أن يدفع بالكتابة التاريخيّة إلى تخطّي مشكلة الأنواع، ووظائفها، وحدودها. نطمح من خلال هذت المقال إلى الإحاطة بحدود هذا المصطلح الجديد، وكذا مناقشة مسوغات هذا الإحلال المصطلحي الذي يكون بموجبه مصطلح "التخيّل التاريخي" أكفأ في التعبير عن تحوّلات هذا النمط من الكتابة في ضوء الميثاق الجديد الّذي أبرمه الروائيّ مع التاريخ. In his book (The Historical Imagination), and with a loose subtitle “Narrative, Empire, and Colonial Experience,” Abdullah Ibrahim calls for replacing the term “historical novel” with the term “historical imagination,” aware that the old term no longer accommodates the nature of the new narrative writing that inspires and invokes history. A symbolic recall, and the new term would push historical writing to go beyond the problem of species, their functions, and their limits. Through this article, we aspire to understand the limits of this new term, as well as to discuss the justifications for this terminological substitution, according to which the term “historical imagination” is more efficient in expressing the transformations of this type of writing in light of the new pact that the novelist concluded with history. | ar |
