A new method for numerical simulation and parameter identification of fractional order models is presented in this paper. A Digital Adjustable Fractional Integrator is proposed to improve the numerical simulation of fractional order systems. The main feature of this tool consists in: the important reduction of simulation run time, operate as a onestep forward predictor and, consequently, it can be used for real-time numerical simulation and identification of different fractional order systems using the same structure. The consistence, convergence and stability of the proposed method are proved. Finally, some numerical results are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approximationar
