Abstract
Globalization is a widely discussed yet often misunderstood phenomenon that demands thorough examination to uncover its intricate nature. Within the current global landscape, the prevalence of Americanization has led to the perception that the world is experiencing a process more aligned with American cultural and economic dominance rather than true globalization. Against this backdrop, the main aim of this dissertation is to explore the relationship between globalization and Americanization as ideologies of dominance and investigate their potential synonymy, shedding light on their interconnectedness and distinctive characteristics. The study further seeks to analyze the specific effects of globalization on developing nations, encompassing economic, cultural, and political dimensions. By delving into these aspects, the research endeavors to provide comprehensive insights into the complexities and consequences experienced by developing nations under the influence of globalization and Americanization. Ultimately, this dissertation contributes to a deeper understanding of the interplay between globalization and Americanization, fostering informed discussions and promoting nuanced approaches to address the effects of globalization on the global community.
