The relations between Algeria and the United States from 1965 to 1978 were characterized by a mix of political tensions, economic challenges, and limited cultural exchanges. This research sheds light on the political events that influenced the bilateral diplomatic ties and to what extent Boumediene's anti-imperialism played a role in course of the relations. The Research employs a large score of data in order to trace the economic and political interplay in the American-Algerian relations. The research approach followed is the descriptive/analytical one, through which the facts and historical events that brought together the two sides are presented, and some historical events are analyzed in order to find answers to research questions. The results show that despite the fact of the diplomatic divergence the economy had to some extent brought the two countries together.
