Enhancing EFL learnes' speaking skill through the promotion of creative automaticity

Abstract
The current dissertation is a result of an attempt to investigate the promotion of creative automaticity as a technique and the benefits it can bring to the EFL classroom. In this study, the aim was to examin the effect that promoted creative automaticity has on EFL learners' speaking skill, and how english students interacted with the new way of teaching. The research was done by means of an experimental method with a quasi-experimental design. The sample wascomprised offorty LMD students of english at Larbi Ben M'Hidi university Oum-El-Bouaghi. They were distributed over two groups, which were chosen randomly, the control and the experimental group. Participants in both groups were pre-tested in the first session before starting the treatment through an interview of a question-answer type. Then, the control group followed four oral sessions using ordinary method of learning by their teacher.Unlikethe experimental group who were exposed to activities that enhance their automaticity applied in four sessions as well. After that, a post-test was administered. The findings revealed the usefulness of promoting creative automaticity inenhancingstudentsfluency. Finally, this result presents a notable backing tothe proponents of such a technique and, therefore, encourages language teachers toinclude it in their lesson plans especially when the aim is to develop the speaking skill.
