Abstract
This research work aims at investigating the effect of peer-corrective feedback within group dynamics on enhancing the learners' writing competences in EFL classes, the case of second year pupils at Ben Yahia Secondary School, Boussouf , Constantines. In order to verify this correlation, we have hypothesized that peer-corrective feedback is an effective tool to enhance the learners' writing competences within groups. To check the validity of this hypothesis we have used two tools of data collection: a teachers' questionnaires and an experiment .The first tool has been administered to 20 teachers of English from different secondary schools in Constantine, it aims at investigating the teachers' attitudes about using peer-corrective feedback in teaching the writing skill within groups. Concerning the second tool, 34 pupils from the scientific stream were chosen randomly and divided equally into two groups to undergo a test of in three stages: the pre-test, the treatment, and the post- test .In the experiment, the experimental group has been exposed to the technique of peer corrective feedback within groups and has been provided with a correcting checklist made up of symbols by the researcher, whereas the control group has not been exposed to any technique. A satisfaction scale administered to the experimental group has shown their satisfaction about the experience they underwent with the technique of peer-corrective feedback .The interpretation of the questionnaire and the analysis of the experiment results revealed that: peer-corrective feedback is an effective teaching tool to be used by teachers in classrooms to enhance the writing competences of the EFL learners.
