idea to use. In fact, using short stories in EFL classes can help learners enhance
their learning process thanks to their numerous benefits. One of the language
skills that might profit from the use of short stories is oral performance. Since
most EFL learners face difficulties in their oral performances like deficient
vocabulary and inaccurate grammatical instructions, short stories are believed
to be the appropriate solution to overcome these problems. Therefore, the

short stories to enhance their oral performances. This study starts from the

students appreciate the use of short stories to promote their oral performances.
On the basis of these findings, the hypothesis put forward was confirmed in
that third year EFL students have favorable attitudes towards the effect of using
short stories to improve their oral performances.
