Abstract
The present dissertation, a work of three chapters is concerned with the american higher education system. Along this paper, multiple points would be discussed including the negative exceptionalism in the functioning of the american higher education, in addition to its general background. Moreover, flaws in the american higher education system would be targeted in search of hints and possibly proofs of a practiced wealth-based discrimination which is affecting the United States on two dimensions: the low-income students and the educational level. Finally, this paper would deal with affirmative actions of prominent american political figures that succeeded to influence the american students nationwide to take a stand against the expensive tuition costs as well as the burden of college loans.
