The present study spots light on a new approach of teaching known as flipped classrooms, that is stands for having classes without lectures, but we have learners as a center of the learning process .the teachers provide their students with videos, on line documents, and digital lectures, but the classroom time is to be used in group works, group discussions, mini-lectures, and differentiated pacing and timing. This work is presented to have better understanding of principles, and goals of such approach and to see its adequateness in Algerian context to be applied as whole , since teachers provide their students with an on line documents, or mini lectures inside or outside the classroom , and they emphasize its effectiveness in developing students' level of participation .Moreover ,questionnaires are designed for teachers and students of English department of Oum El Bouaghi University to examine their perceptions, knowledge, and attitudes towards flipped learning. The results show that teachers and students perceive this approach positively, in the same time they stressed the importance of lectures. Further, it seems there is hope of applying flipped classes as a whole approach.
