Abstract
The Present research aims at investigating the impact of the target culture on EFL learners' internal, external and cognitive characteristics. As EFL learners tend to focus more on learning the linguist aspects of the FL, the cultural content was totally neglected which made culture in foreign language classes the concern of many linguists and teachers. Whether it should be integrated in language classes or not and whether it has a negative or positive impact on learners' personality, beliefs, the way they communicate, think, and their physical appearance…etc. For the research aims to be realized a qualitative method was adopted, and in order to collect and gather data we opt for an online questionnaire which was addressed to (41) students of Master-One English at Larbi Ben M'hidi University, in addition to an interview which we made with (7) teachers of English at the same University. According to the obtained data from both the questionnaire and the interview, students seem to be aware of the importance of learning the TC in relation to English language, and while they are being exposed to it, it did not affect them negatively but it has an impact on their way of thinking. . It is also worth to mention that teachers' answers in the interview gave a clear vision about learners' positive attitude towards the target culture and also revealed that students may lose their original identity' components while learning the foreign language and their lifestyle may change. At the end of this work some pedagogical recommendations and implications are proposed for a better culture integration in EFL classes and curriculum.
