This study investigates the effectiveness of audiobooks in developing students' listening comprehension of second year scientific secondary school learners at Tamrabet Boussaha in Oued Nini Oum El Bouaghi. The research carried out a quasi experimental design. Two main groups were included : an experimental group and a control group. Each group contains 17 students. Both groups passed through a listening comprehension pre-test at the beginning of the experiment. Then, the experimental group had a series of treatment sessions listening to different chapters of two main audiobooks. However, the control group learners were carrying out their lectures with their teacher without listening to any material. By the end of the treatment, the participants were post tested with the same audio file of the pre-test. The findings of the practical part showed that the use of the audiobooks is very beneficial for improving English as a foreign language students' listening comprehension since the experimental group achieve better results of the listening comprehension on the post-test than the pre-test.ar
