dc.description.abstract | vulgare essential oils (EOs) for future use in treatment. Clove and fennel were submitted to hydrodistillation using Clevenger apparatus, and disk diffusion method was used to assess the antifungal activity. F. vulgare EO showed a remarkable antifungal activity where the inhibition diameter measured was (11 mm), followed by the S. aromaticum EO (10 mm). These results are encouraging in terms of control of this pathogen since the effects of oils were relatively acceptable. Given the results obtained, it would be interesting to study the effects of the active components of the essential oils of these plants separately and to value these aromatic plants by the development of pharmaceutical products based on essential oils. | ar |
