Abstract
Human rights have become a crucial topic of discussion, highlighting the prevalence of double standards and hypocrisy that deeply affect the boundaries of humanity. The United States, with its influential position in world matters, has been involved in addressing and resolving conflicts in Palestine, Syria, and Ukraine. This dissertation critically explores the presence of double standards on human rights used by the United States of America, with a particular focus on the war in Ukraine against wars in the Middle East, including Syria and Palestine. This research aims to analyze policies and reactions of the United States toward the crisis happening in the three nations, investigating whether different standards like religion, race, and ethnicity of these countries are applied. It explores the various involvement and responses of the US toward Palestine, Syria, and Ukraine. As it investigates the impact of the American media in shaping wars events in the world in different manners, in addition to the US treatment and assistance to the refugees' crisis resulting from every conflict. Ultimately, this dissertation clarifies the existence of the use of double standards by the US in its treatment and engagement with the nations of the Middle East, specifically Syria and Palestine, in comparison to the eastern European country, Ukraine.
