Abstract
The most significant period that the American-Algerian relations had witnessed was during the 1960s and the 1970s. The research examines the political events that influenced the bilateral diplomatic ties and their relationship to the unaffected economic relations. The Research employs a large score of data in order to investigate the economic and political interplay in the American-Algerian relations. A number of methods are used, including the descriptive approach devoted to conduct a historical survey about the course of event, and the analytical approach that pursues data and gives analysis. The results show that despite the fact of the rupture in the diplomatic relations, the economic ones were preserved, due to a pragmatic policy adopted progressively by Algeria.
