Abstract
Followingthe tragic events of 9/11 in the United States, the position of muslims, not only there, became subject of intense debate. As a consequence of these events, muslims found themselves the suspect community that lives under great pressure, fear, uncertainty, and suspicion of involving in every terroristic action in the world. Undeniably, anglo-american media played a very profound role in demonizing the islamic values and depicting muslims innegative stereotypes. Accordingly, islam and muslims became fresh topics of high debate in media. Unquestionably, the role played by the Anglo-american media in demonizing as well as destroying the image of islam and stigmatizing muslims was immense. BBC and CNN, the official voices of the U. K. and the U.S., participated in widening the gap between Islam and the West throughout their biased news, reports, and analyses.
