| dc.description.abstract | The aim of this research is to identify the needs of first year students of english at Mohamed Khider university of Biskra in OE courses. Further, the study suggests a few strategies for teachers to motivate their students to improve their speaking abilities. The study holds two directions. The first examines the concept of "MOTIVATION", i.e. an overview on research done on motivation since the 1950's to nowadays. In addition, it serves as a reminder about the important models of motivation for language learning studied in the field of educational psychology. | ar |
