To achieve native like proficiency, it is proved that English collocations are among the most significant aspects in second language learning (L2). This study aims at investigating the impact of negative transfer on EFL learners' English lexical collocation errors production. Based on the assumption that third year English foreign language (EFL) students reached at least an acceptable level in English, it is hypothesized that collocation errors produced by EFL learners are due to negative transfer from Arabic. To check these hypotheses, a test was submitted to twenty three third year students. Teachers' questionnaire was also used to support the test findings. The results show that EFL learners do not produce English lexical collocations correctly. According to research tools analysis, interpretation and discussion, negative transfer from Arabic is the primary cause of English lexical collocations problems without ignoring the other reasons that may affect too. Hence, the research hypotheses are confirmed.ar
