This paper deals with the control and observation of an induction motor using adaptive field-oriented control. Our aim is to regulate the speed and the rotor flux components to specified references. The reduced current model is used to estimate the rotor flux components. In addition, the load torque is estimated to ensure the speed tracking convergence. The simulation results show that the proposed control system is effective in the estimation and control of the induction motor rotor flux and speed.ar
