This mémoire investigates the role of interest groups within the American political system. Their role has witnessed a significant change in the last decades, in which their existence became much apparent and exposed to people than before. The influence and power of money executed by lobbyists allowed them to access many sensitive areas in congress putting pressure on law makers and imposing legislations that serve their own benefit. The case study of this research shades the light on the Jewish lobby as for this ethnic lobby is considered a powerful lobby in the United States which influences major political decisions in the country and take part in shaping pro-Israel legislations. As a result, this study concludes that these lobbyists and interest groups certainly have an impact on the American legislative branch (congress) and the well-being of its political system.ar
