This research paper aims to determine methods that production companies should undertake in order to control the inflation of waste as well as the unreasonable exploitation of natural resources. The study concluded that the best solution in getting rid of this problem is to move from linear (unidirectional) economic model i.e: production-consumption- elimination, towards a circular economic model which is based on “cradle-to-cradle” principle i.e: production- consumption- recycling- production. This principle allows the production of goods whose parts are all recyclable. Several experiments of companies that designed their products according to “cradle-to-cradle” principle have been exposed. This is through selecting two sectors; the office furniture industry (Orange box and Steelcase companies), and fabric industry (i Collect and Teriva companies).ar
