Abstract
This dissertation focuses primarily on the setting of third-year primary school pupils as it studies the effects of data-driven learning (DDL) on vocabulary acquisition. The purpose of the study is to determine how well DDL techniques can help young learners learn and retain vocabulary. So, In order to examine the research hypothesis that Data Driven Learning method would be a very helpful and maybe even better method for both students and teachers in teaching vocabulary. A corpus linguistic study was conducted to exstract the most frequent used content words in third year primary school book. Consequently, a vocabulary activities where designed accordingly. Then, a quasi-experimental study was conducted. In doing so, a pre-test, post-test group research design is used. The sample population comprised of two groups of Students of third year primary school, Hamoudi Said, at Ain Beida Oum EL-Bouaghi, The sample constitutes of 30 participants. The experimental group is working on some activities designed according to DDL .Whereas the control group was left with the old methods of teaching vocabulary. According to the study's findings, the experimental group performed better than the control group. Finally, the study's limitations are offered.
