Abstract
The present study aims to explore the relationship between lesson plan and university learners' motivation, the hypothesis of this research is that if the teachers use a lesson plan appropriately, it will have a great influence on students' motivation .the objectives of this study are to find out to what extent the lesson plan can be effective , also to develop a suitable method to boost learners' motivation .This research is divided into three chapters. The first and the second chapters deal with the theoretical part which include an overview about lesson plan and motivation. The third chapter is the practical part which deals with two questionnaires for both teachers and students in order to test our hypothesis. Through teacher's questionnaire administered to twenty teachers at the department of English, Larbi Ben M'hidi UniversityOum El Bouaghi we tend to know if the teachers see planning as an important part for teaching while student's questionnaire administered to sixty nine second year students at the department of English in order to know whether the students benefit from teacher's planning or not and what are the most effective factors for boosting motivation .Thus, the results show that lesson plan plays a major role in motivating learners in an effective way.
