In foreign language classes, it is hard to engage all learners in the teaching learning process; however, the teacher may face some introverts who fear participation. The present study is intended to investigate the effect of using praise as an independent variable on improving introverts' participation. To achieve this goal, an experimental study has been conducted on 32 pupils of first year level from the population of 135 of Sohbi Mizzouni Middle school in Meskiana as participants of this study after they have been identified through Eysenck personality test which determined introvert ones. The selected sample was divided into two groups; an experimental and control one. First, the two groups received a pre-test which contains a text followed by reading comprehension questions, and oral discussions since that kind of activity requires participation. Then, only the experimental group received simple statements of praise as they are beginners for eight sessions (60 minutes for each). Next, the post-test was provided to both groups; to see the effect of the manipulated variable (praise). After, collecting and analyzing the data, the finding revealed that praise was effective on enhancing introverts participation regarding pupils' better performance in the post-test. In addition to that, we realized that there was a significant difference between the two groups. So, it has been concluded that the use of praise in EFL classes has a positive effect on introverts' participation.ar
