Utilization of coriandrum sativum, trigonella foenum graecum pimpinella anisum and their combination on growth performance, carcass trait and haematobiochemical parameters in broiler chicken

Abstract
A study was undertaken to examine the effects of a phytogenic feed additive (PFA) containing Fenugreek (Trigonella foenum-graecum), Green anise (Pimpinella anisum) and Coriander (Coriandrum sativum L.) as lead active components on the growth performance, carcass traits, and Bursa of Fabricius evolution in broiler chickens. In total, 360 one-day-old COBB male broilers were randomly divided into 4 dietary treatments. The dietary treatments were a control starter and grower basal diet without PFA. Broilers in groups G2, G3 and G4 were fed a basal diet supplemented with 3% coriander (Coriandrum sativum L.); 3% of PFA1 containing (50%Fenugreek, 50% Coriander) And in the G4 withe 3% of PFA2 containing (50% Fenugreek, 50% Green anise) respectively. Water and feed were provided adlibitum during the experiment, feeding trials lasted for 42 days. The results showed that these spices are a potential source as an alternative to antibiotics. Experimentally, it has produced a favorable effect at three levels: (i) by facilitating digestion and assimilation of nutrients, (ii) by ensuring an improvement in the immune response and (iii) by ensuring good health.
