This research entitled "Teaching writing in English through the POWER Approach" tackles the use of the power approach in teaching expository paragraph writing to develop students' writing skills. This study includes a review of relevant literature on the power approach, in addition to an empirical investigation of its implication in the classroom. In this research, the writer applied quantitative approach with quasi-experimental design. The researcher designed a lesson plan, applied a treatment and analyzed the students' scores through pre-test and post-test. A convenience sampling of 13 first grade students at the English Department in Larbi Ben M'hidi University, during the academic year 2022/2023, were taught using the power approach for three weeks. Finally, the writer analyzed the data using Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) program to determine whether the experimental group had a better effect using the POWER approach unlike the control group who were taught with the traditional approach.
