dc.description.abstractThe present study sheds light on the difficulties and problems students at Larbi Ben M’Hidi University of Oum El Bouaghi face during the year of 2023/2024 when writing their research proposal. A descriptive method has been used to confirm the hypothesis, which states that students face problem with choosing the appropriate topic, limited time and problem with the supervisor when writing their proposal. A questionnaire was used as a tool for data collecting from Master two students of English at Larbi Ben M’Hidi University. The questionnaire detected that student encountered problems with writing the methodology section. Equally important, students face problems with choosing the appropriate topic. In addition, they struggle with the short period of time while writing their research proposal.
