Abstract
This dissertation is concerned with linguistic imperialism and its effect on selecting the english text-book content goal .We have used the evaluation of the text-book as method to handle this research through the textualization'stechnique which is based on the criteria of liberalism. Via the analysis we have obtained a reasonable results that were expected about the existence of liberal ideology throughthe different criteria were used by the text-book; this is along the four units. The percentage of the liberalism criteria on the first unit is (53%) from the whole percentage; the (23%) is aboutGreek civilization and the same percentage (23%) about the modern civilization. On the second unit the high percentage goes to democracy as criteria(29%) while the total percentage is (62%) in comparison with other ideas which is about (38%).on the other hand, the total percentage of liberalism ideology is (52%) from the whole content.On the fourth unit far above the ground percentage is (81%) which represents the modernism as liberalism criteria. Finally, a set of pedagogical implication and recommendation for the study are presented.
