This Physics-2 course handout provides a summary of the basic concepts of electricity and magnetism. It is intended for core students (first year LMD) in material sciences (SM), science and technology (ST), and math and computer science (MI). The objective of this course is to introduce students to basic concepts of electrostatics, conductors in equilibrium, electrokinetics and electromagnetism. Different concepts are covered, ranging from the calculation of electric and magnetic fields and potentials to the application of the laws of electrokinetics/electromagnetism (Gauss, Kirchoff, Faraday, Ampère, etc.). This course is developed in accordance with the official curriculum set by the Comité Pédagogique National des Domaines CPND (Canevas 2019). According to the second semester curriculum for Physics-2 (electricity and magnetism), the handout has been divided into four chapters. This course aims to provide students with a foundation to understand electricity and magnetism. We hope this course achieves the desired objectives.
