Abstract
This dissertation investigates the role of teachers' behavioral attitudes on the Motivation of Algerian EFL university students, focusing on the context of Larbi Ben M'hidi University's Department of English. The study aims to determine whether the Teachers' attitudes have a discouraging effect on students and seeks to identify strategies to Enhance motivation and academic performance. By administering questionnaires to both Students and teachers, the research examines perceptions of motivation, inspiring teaching Qualities, and actual teacher behavior. The findings from the teachers' questionnaire Highlight areas of strength, such as creating a positive learning environment and Incorporating cultural elements in teaching, while also indicating areas that require further Attention. The students' questionnaire reveals the significant role of teacher behavior in Influencing motivation, emphasizing the importance of constructive feedback and student Autonomy. Overall, the study underscores the need for ongoing professional development And reflective practices to improve teaching strategies and create an engaging and Supportive learning environment. The research contributes valuable insights into the role of Teachers' behavioral attitudes on EFL students' motivation and provides practical Recommendations for enhancing teaching practices and student engagement at Larbi Ben M'hidi University's Department of English.
