Abstract
Multiple Intelligences Theory, a modern perspective toward the notion of intelligence and right after its emergence, has encouraged many researchers to conduct studies upon its educational implications. This theory's presence in teaching can bring an everlasting influence on our learners' classroom performance and even outside the class walls. This study investigates the application of Multiple Intelligences Theory in English language teaching in terms of lesson plan activities diversity. Moreover, it uncovers the truth about the Algerian secondary school teachers' awareness in using Multiple Intelligences Theory in planning their lessons. In other words, considering its principles to cater to all learners' intelligence profiles in the classroom.
Based on that, a questionnaire was conducted to seek teachers' awareness and use of the theory amongst secondary teachers of English. The findings show that most of the teaches are aware and conscious of the Multiple Intelligences Theory principles despite the fact that they are not acquainted and well equipped theoretically with this theory. The research recommends, therefore, that teachers have to receive more training on the use of Multiple Intelligences Theory in order to cater to all intelligence profiles for better learning outcomes. teachers are subjected to bring up their own adjustments and changes, combined with the use of media and ICTs, to make the ready-made activities in the textbook more suitable and applicable to their classroom learners' variety and needs.
