As a result of 9/11, the U.S. administration decided to wage a war against terrorism. for President Bush, Vice president Dick Cheney and Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld the U.S. situation as a hegemonic power was threatened by the attacks. The three primacists took the responsibility to retain this primacy and erase threats on its interests in the Persian Gulf. The Bush administration started to look for a target to implement its new policies concerning the war on terror. The United States of America invaded Iraq based on allegations that Iraq owns Weapons of Mass Destruction and the accusation of Saddam Hussein of being responsible of 9/11 attacks and sponsoring el-Qaeda. Deep investigations proved that the justification given to invade Iraq were fault. Iraq has had no relations with el-Qaeda or WMD. The present work aims at detecting the given alibies to invade Iraq and unveil the hidden reasons behind this invasion. The research concludes that Iraq was merely a disguise to implement the U.S. primacy, a tool to gain control over the world oil markets and a fertile land to demonstrate American military superiority.ar
