dc.description.abstract | The integration of multimedia tools in education, particularly videos, has revolutionized Teaching approaches, yielding innovative ways to enhance learners’ engagement and learning Outcomes. Videos offer a rich context that makes learning more accessible and enjoyable for Learners. The present study investigates the potential advantages of using videos to improve Reading comprehension among English as a Foreign Language learners. The primary objective Is to determine how incorporating videos into the classroom impacts learners’ understanding And maximizes retention of various school texts, ultimately enhancing their overall reading Skills. The study targeted third-year learners at Kabouche Metaallah Middle School in Oum El Bouaghi. Out of a population of 108 learners, a sample of 66 learners was selected. The study Employed a quantitative research methodology with a quasi-experimental design. Conducted Over eight sessions, six sessions for the treatment and two sessions for the pre -test and the post -test. The research integrated videos during the pre-reading phase to facilitate comprehension. The study involved an experimental group and a control group, with data collected using pretests and post-tests. The findings reveal a significant improvement in reading comprehension Scores for students exposed to videos. This confirms the hypothesis that videos can enhance Learners’ understanding and retention of school texts. The results highlight the potential benefits Of integrating videos into educational practices for learners as they can significantly improve Learning outcomes and student engagement in reading activities. | |
