The Current study aims at knowing EFL teachers' and students' attitudes towards the effect of note-taking on vocabulary learning. Accordingly, it is hypothesized that both EFL instructors and learners will perceive positively the effect of note-taking on vocabulary acquisition. Hence, to reach the aim and test the hypotheses of this research, two questionnaires were administered to both teachers and first year master students of the english department at Oum-El-Bouaghi university during the academic year 2015-2016. After analyzing their responses, the research hypotheses were confirmed. Furthermore, some recommendations were put forward on the basis of the findings to draw both instructors' and learners' attention to the role of note-taking as a very useful learning tool as well as the importance of vocabulary in learning a foreign language.ar
