| dc.description.abstract | Undoubtedly; that chemical pesticides have increased and improved agricultural production by controlling pests and diseases. But inappropriate application of pesticides affects the whole ecosystem by entering the residues in food chain and polluting the soil, air, ground and surface water. Therefore, in this study, we seek to determine the effect of Cleome arabica L leaf extract on three pests that infect tomato plants, which are TutaabsolutaMeyrick (Lepidoptera, Gelechiidae), HeliothisarmigeraHubner (Lepidoptera, Noctuidae) and Aphis gossypiiGlover (Homoptera, Aphididae).Cleome arabicaL, is a species of flowering plants in the family Cleomaceae, a medicinal plant with a foul odor, toxic, and has hallucinogenic effects. The results showed that the extract had a toxic effect on the tested insects comparable to the chemical pesticide. On the other hand, the results showed that the doses and the passage of time had a clear effect on the death rate. The death rate was 100% in Tutaabsoluta and Aphis gossypiiand 70% in Heliothisarmigera. | |
