Abstract
The aim of this research is to explore the Constitutional Reform Act 2005 as well as its contribution to the broader system of separation of powers within the United Kingdom government, particularly in relation to the judiciary. The main question that is investigated in this study is the importance of the reform act in reshaping the British politics and its role in shaping a unique British version of Checks and Balances for a stricter doctrine of separation of powers. This research aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the act’s enduring impact on the fabric of British governance. In order to check the admissibility of the hypothesis and track changes over time in institutional behavior and public perceptions the study adopts a descriptive as well as a narrative approach so as to consolidate the research vision. The results obtained from the research strongly confirm the hypotheses mentioned in the study: Constitutional Reform Act 2005 is of pivotal weight importance towards achieving a true doctrine of powers’ divisions. This thesis is divided into two chapters.
