Fantasy villains, antagonists, and serial murderers are perpetually enigmatic and compelling characters in contemporary fiction novels .In order to fully grasp and comprehend the true wonders and mysteries of the violent human behavior, this thesis explores the hidden reasons behind the abnormal, erotic, fantasies and compulsions of Angelica ,a homosexual serial killer who is so profoundly malignant yet so artistically evil in Valery Macdermaid's the Mermaids Singing .,Furthermore, it exclusively introduces an active close reading to this vicious slaughterer through the eyes of the biosocial and trait theories of crime by the famous clinical psychiatrics Anthony Welsh and Kevin M .Beaver. This approach reflects the biological, social and individual orientations that build and beautify those dehumanized acts of pure evil. In order to understand the psychopathological character of Angelica, this study utilizes numerous concepts such as the Aestheticization of serial killing in crime fiction, alongside a group of mental disorders such as Malignant Narcissism, Psychopathy, Borderline Personality Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, Erotomania and Schizophrenia. Based on these conceptual analyses, this thesis finds out that Angelica's monstrosity and complex neurological and social states are driven by errors in her genetic coding and biological dysfunction .
