Abstract
The current study was conducted to examine the effect of online instruction on EFL students' achievement in written expression. A comparative research design was adopted to analyse the scores obtained by learners in face to face instruction (first semester) and in online instruction (second semester). The study was carried out at the English Department of Larbi Ben M' Hidi University, Oum El Bouagui, on the basis of the written expression scores of 132 second year students of the academic year 2019-2020. The results showed that online instruction has a positive effect on EFL students' achievement in written expression.
