dc.description.abstract | The study we have done in this thesis is aiming to know the relationship between population growth and water distribution system in the city of collo and show the effects of direct impact of urban expansion that led to diversifying of water sources, integration of new elements and extending the length of the water network. To achieve our goal we'v relied in this study on the descriptive analytical method, and we used several techniques in treating The data gathered, we presented it in pictures, maps and graphic forms, figures, tables, diagrams, schemas, and profiles. The study have showed several important results : _water distribution system grows and increases with the growth of population and urban expansion. _The increasing demand of water requires a process of finding and diversifying water sources of both ground and surface sources. _the urban characteristics developed through different periods in different directions forming heterogeneous tissue, that has affected the WDS on its length and type. _city is supplied with water depending on both repression and gravity. _city main source of water is the surface water from the Dam of BeniZid. _various technical and administration problems found in the site along the WDS. _creation of a Database using GIS could help in solving problems. | ar |
